theres a possibility. They're uncapping uni places next year (except medicine).

    UNSW bonus points?

thats enough if u get 5 bonus points. doubt its gonna rise to 98.3+ for commerce, especially with the uncapping of uni places this year

    Group-based Assessments at Uni

You'll kinda get similar scores. Say if your assignment is worth 7/10. and peer reviews say one person didn't do much, they'd probs get 6/10, person who did the most will get 8/10. but thats true, sometimes u can make good friends from group assignments :)

its 48 uoc, but some of the majors have 6uoc in the commerce first year cores, so its an additional 42

If transfer to Arts fails - study Arts courses anyway, and apply again next sem?

dont think it matters. you can study mroe arts courses. the unsw system for enrolment doesn't check if the subjects you enrol in are required for your degree or if they'll count for your degree. It just checks you meet the prerequisites.

Transfer from arts to commerce- hard? will I be behind?

ah, not as new as i thought :P 1. I'm not sure, but one of my friends got in and she didn't tell me her atar coz "it wasn't that good" and she was happy/surprised/relieved she got in. and one of my other friends transferred into it (through UAC) with a "not that good" ATAR and probably ~60 WAM...

Transfer from arts to commerce- hard? will I be behind?

Last year the cut off was low for tourism-hospitality. (a lot lower than commerce) but you never know, it was a (relatively?) new course so probably not that many people knew about it, it could be harder for next year. and @namu, they don't consider ATAR for internal program transfer (within...

    Dilemma about choosing 2nd major

About this wam killer stuff, I'm doing Chinese and Maths atm, I'd say Chinese isn't too bad (for Introductory anyway), it's not too hard to get 75+ Maths i'd say is more natural talent, so it CAN be a wam killer. I'd say that Maths has a higher variance than Chinese, with the average being...

    Dilemma about choosing 2nd major

    Dilemma about choosing 2nd major

ah yeah you're right about that. And sure, they should let you do diploma at the same time. It'll just take 5 years to do diploma + double degree. :)

    Dilemma about choosing 2nd major

You can do all three. Can't u major in Chinese in commerce? So, You can try major in Actuarial, Chinese and Maths. in a Com/Sci degree. If you can't/dont want to do that. You can do Com/Sci and Diploma of Languages (Chinese) at the same time. This would take an extra year though...

    Transfer to B Arts

lol. yeah i dont know if you can go back. just make sure it's what u want to do.

    Transfer to B Arts

Sure, I don't think it'll set you back any time if you do adv math/arts. Just make sure it's what you want to do. I don't think you'd transfer back...by then you'd be behind and probably have to stay back an extra semester/year.

Transfer from arts to commerce- hard? will I be behind?

EDIT: Sorry i was in a hurry before. You can do arts and transfer to commerce without being behind. So, for Commerce, let's say you want to double major in Marketing and Human Resources Management. And if you had to do Arts, you'd double major in Human Resources Management and History for...

    Applied Maths courses

It depends what part of applied maths you want to go into. I think they recommended you do MATH3041 Mathematical Modelling for Real World Systems. MATH3161 Optimisation seems to be a popular choice. Anyway, you have a year to decide?
