How important are the first HSC assessments? How much do they affect your ATAR? I think I screwed them up...

Your girl here did terrible in trials, scoring mostly between late 60's to low 80's. Its completely fine, as long as you work hard for your other assessments/exams

    Advice please!

Honestly, I'm not sure either. Maybe you should keep both subjects for now and complete one more internal assessment and see which one is better off gone. Also, is there a reason why you didn't do that great for the first task? Was it really hard? I did biology and I didn't go to a top 150...

Modern History or Maths Standard 2?

Like what drdusk said, you can never have too many essay based subjects. I know a friend that highly enjoys english extension2/ humanities/essay based subjects and did really well in her hsc. Maybe if you know what course you wanna do in uni then you should consider what is best for you in the...

Modern History or Maths Standard 2?

Honestly, I enjoyed Modern history so much.. It was one of my favourite subjects. It's straight-forward and super easy to understand. And if you enjoy it, you could consider doing extension history as well ^^

Am I dumb or is this true? HSC getting harder and harder each year.

I feel like the HSC paper for english is somewhat getting harder... I feel like NESA knows that students are route learning and are memorising pre written essays into exams. They're coming up with different question styles and making them more ambiguous to prevent students from memorising. Maybe...

Thanks for the advice - I'll look into it. But I don't know for certain if I can defer/avoid it. Hopefully I can and if not, I'll just hope my parents can pay for it lol

Do I need chem for medical science?

I understand where your coming from, but at the end of the day, your not helping me. First of all, your rambling about what subjects I took. And you know what? Its too late to rechoose my subjects, and its too late to redo hsc. And I want to point out again, that the course requires only TWO...

Do I need chem for medical science?

Hello kids, I want to do BMedical Science/Bbusiness at UTS next year. On the UTS website, it says that it only requires "2 units of science" as ASSUMED knowledge and I only did biology. A girl who is a year older than me said that it requires some chemistry (chemistry 1&2), and that she was...

Is Extension 1 enough for Actuarial Studies?

Im sure if you got an E4 for X1, you would of done just as great for X2. I'd say you give UNSW a shot. My ex-tutor completed her HSC last year and did used to do actuarial (she did X2 maths). But she didn't enjoy it and moved to data science. My recommendation is to give acturial a go, and if...

    UTS vs USYD?

So, I'm very conflicted if i should go UTS or Usyd. i achieved an atar of 91.35, and I want to do a double degree (science + business/commerce) and feel this is enough to get into the courses i want from both uni's But im still conflicted on where i should go. I feel like at this point, I'm...
