    UMAT Preparation Advice

Depends what you consider failing is, since entering the medical field has so many factors accounting to it. Maybe considering not entering the field failing? Or maybe a low UMAT score? My friend tried UMAT and she failed the interview; so while she wasn't able to enter the field, spending all...

Why should I become a doctor?

The 'doing med for money' reason is only partially true. One of my mates who does medicine is about 24 and he says that while he does earn a livable income, he has yet to specialise in a field and knows that he won't be making 'real money' till he's a lot older. I can't speak from the...

How do you know when your week is balanced?

Hello my lovely BoSers! As i approach the end of my preliminary i have finally gotten my studies and extra cirriculars in order, vaguely know what im striving for and pretty keen on the HSCs. However, after I complete my 4 hour a day study session and 1 hour of training; I feel like I should...

    Procrastination

Personally, i believe people procrastinate because they don't have a specific goal to work towards, a vision to aspire to. But you just got to work harder man. Remind yourself that your HSC is only going to go for another few months and it'll be over in a couple of months. Remind yourself that...

    strategically picking HSC subjects?

My friend who got a 92 said the amount of scaling placed on 2u and 3u isn't worth the amount of work. So i'd suggest if you are comfortable; go with general.

    Can I get a 97+ atar?

95+ maybe... 97+ would be pushing it a bit

    Can I get a 97+ atar?

You were rank around 50 for all subjects or just a few or just one? What were your rankings out of? Your marks maybe? Your question is too vague.

    strategically picking HSC subjects?

I don't see how this is strategic at all. General mathematics and 2u mathematics is a massive jump and unlike 3u and 2u, the topics in both subjects don't clash...

    Differentiation rules

Well the more difficult questions will ask you to leave it in any form but I've seen people not fully simplifying for and lost 1 or 2 marks out of a 4 or 5 mark question in my half yearlies.
