    Last minute clarifications needed :(

(the above was copied from the Biology progression thread) AND: Of course it's a sheep, but by "same type" do you mean that the surrogate doesn't have to be the same species?

When Helper T-cells (Th cells) are activated, do the Th cells become cloned as well? - And if they do, then do some Th cells become killer T cells whilst others become memory T cells? Interleukin-2 (a cytokine) is released by the activated Th cell and this stimulates B cell cloning. Most B...

You've explained this better than 2 textbooks, hsconline and Sir's notes. THANK. YOU. Pls state rank. And thank you leesh :) I'll mention root tip instead. And the Bt cotton method clarifies a few things too, but I won't be naming the vector bacteria though haha.

    HSC Biology Progression

I'm going to post these questions in my other thread so others looking through don't have to look between 2 threads.

    HSC Biology Progression

Yep, I omitted that to keep it "brief" :P You (and anybody else of course) can help me with this thingo though: When Helper T-cells (Th cells) are activated, do the Th cells become cloned as well? - And if they do, then do some Th cells become killer T cells whilst others become memory T...

    HSC Biology Progression

T-cells control cell-mediated immunity B-cells control antibody-mediated immunity So basically, the (killer) T-cells will destroy infected cells by binding to the antigens on the cells, and then releasing chemicals into the cells to kill it and any pathogens (which includes viruses) within. B...

    Favourite music to study to?

Chopin/Rachmaninoff/Liszt/Beethoven etc :) I've increasingly listening to more modern, poppy stuff just to see what it's like. Music is distracting overall for me though, so I don't listen to it much whilst studying.

    a. With whole organism cloning, is the surrogate mother the same species as the organism that is being cloned? b. My Bt cotton production method is really sketchy: 1.Cotton seedlings are cut, placed onto a growth medium, and grown into callus cells (aggregate of undifferentiated cells)...

Does anyone else feel they've stuffed up HSC?

I'm not feeling overly optimistic about the externals either tbh. The best thing I can do is NOT read the exam thoughts threads and watch my marks disappear.

identify defence barriers to prevent entry of pathogens in humans: – skin – mucous membranes – cilia – chemical barriers – other body secretions and identify defence adaptations, including: – inflammation response – phagocytosis – lymph system – cell death to seal off pathogen...

    Help much appreciated

    D) Use equivalent fractions i.e. 2800kJ/1mol = 108kJ/ x mol therefore (rearranging), x mol = 27/700 m(pentan-1-ol)= n*MM = (27/700)*88.146 = 3.40 (2s.f.) :)

    General Thoughts: Economics

The highway bypass question reminded me of Radiator Springs so I used that as a stimulus hehe 21a) in that case wasn't that dissimilar to a creative then, for me :P
