I have done 1 2u maths HSC paper and 1 trial physics paper. Needless to say I did terribly in the physics trial paper but now I know my weaknesses :). I have my trials in week 1 though which is why I have started so early.

I'm quite happy with business studies. I got 35/40 which was the highest mark in the class :). It still doesn't really make up for physics where my rank dropped to 20/33. I must do well in trials...MUST.

I agree. That's what the majority of people would most definitely be doing.

My school has 5 periods a day. We used to have 7 a day but I much prefer the 5. The time to walk to the classroom and setup your work area does kill off some class time but when you do it 5 times then it builds up.

I think there is a certain percentage of people, probably about 2%, that just can't do it no matter how hard they try. I do believe that if the other 98% studies really hard then all of them can achieve 98 if they wanted to.

I realise how hard it is to get a band 6 now. Hopefully I can turn my ranks around with these trials...

I most certainly did. I still worked hard though and my ranks dropped down so dramatically. I don't really know what I did wrong. Oh well, hopefully I can make up for it in trials. Hopefully.

I was so happy with my results for the first semester but for some reason, I have dropped in ranking (dramatically) for EVERY subject afterwards. Seems like my luck has run out. Anyone else going through this as well?

Last year (when I stopped relying on the textbook), I would google some stuff and bored of studies would always pop up. I thought the name was incredibly amusing so I clicked on it and was lead to the lifesaving resources. I didn't even know about the forum till the end of last year.

I admittedly have thought of repeating but it just isn't worth it. All the early mornings, the studying required, and the possibility of not doing better. It's a waste of a year in my opinion. High school is one of the most painful things you ever have to go through.

I was thinking of going tomorrow but our school is making a compulsory excursion for us to go to something very similar so I don't think I will. It's so far from my area and the rain is a turnoff :/.

I did burn out and it really showed in my results for physics. I dropped ranks from 8 to 20 where we only have 33 people doing physics. This is the first time I have ever been below average so I'm certain something affected my performance. It might have been stress now that I think about it...
