yee BNW is really good for discussion! but we did it at the end and tbh everyone was burnt out :\ Mod B was probably the most thought provoking (but it is a critical study.. so yeah) and Mod A (KRIII/LFR) was really good I found, very interesting if you understand the texts like DAL said

How badly will my cohort screw me over?

Yes come first and if you fail it'll be on your own terms and you'll see that. If you think your cohort is trash then there should be no reason to let them be a higher rank than you. glhf fam

General thoughts: English Advanced Modules Paper 2

Pages/Words =/= Marks to an extent. Once you hit a certain threshold the markers couldn't care less.

Do people who have guaranteed entry affect us?

If you're talking about internally, then yes. I know some people at the top of the cohort who got guaranteed entry (Law at Macq) and dropped all their grades because it doesn't require a minimum atar.

You'd still be fine - markers don't crucify your essay if they can't see the stimulus related. But I don't see someone getting into the 14/15 range - however, in saying that, I'm sure you can get up to 13 for a killer creative.

    2016ers Chit-Chat Thread

Narrowly focused meaning you memorize an essay where all your links and evidence relate to such an obscure question that it is hard to adapt. It is much better memorizing an essay with broader examples and analysis so you can easily interchange words and phrases to suit the question on the day...
