    Math Advanced Prediction/Thoughts

Well the bright side (I guess) is that alignment will probably be pretty generous this year if everyone in the state thought that paper was the spawn of satan, which it appears they do lol.

    Math Advanced Prediction/Thoughts

That was what we call NESA taking great pleasure in collectively bending the class of 2021 over and truly fucking us

still haven’t started doing anything for maths

Even for your examination mark alone it is very hard to get a Band 1 in Advanced Maths - like if you can get around 50% without trying your marks will align up quite a great deal if past trends continue. Also please note that you cannot fail in the HSC, Maths Adv will still count towards your...

still haven’t started doing anything for maths

Well you need to keep in mind the alignment process - if you genuinely want an idea of what ATAR you can get, I'd recommend first getting a rough idea of how your raw marks align on rawmarks.info then putting this into an ATAR calculator, HSCNinja and Matrix are good. There's ordinarily a...

still haven’t started doing anything for maths

Depends what you consider "good" to be and what your current maths ability is - don't discount yourself so quickly, there's a lot more nuance to this.

    how to cram for maths

If you know what specific areas you need to study, like if you're particularly weak in some select topics, then I highly recommend using the HSC Ninja Question Viewer. You basically just get the PDFs of all the maths past papers from the NESA website, download them, then upload them to HSC Ninja...

English Paper 2 Predictions & Thoughts

come on now... we have to give the English E2 kids something to feel happy about.

English Paper 2 Predictions & Thoughts

Hey! I know how you feel, but let me just say that with English especially, it doesn't really matter what others did. For the unseen texts, as long as you answer the question and justify it with analysis that's okay! Markers don't care if your interpretation lines up with what the poem was...

English Paper 2 Predictions & Thoughts

lmao I just took the stimulus as a metaphor for writing lol and did my usual creative/discursive on the writing process. Markers are filled with ecstasy if they see the words "intertextuality" or "metafiction"

    English Paper 1 Predictions/Thoughts

How y'all not be knowing ur quotes yet lol. I never even intentionally memorised em, it was just writing so many practice responses that eventually they got stuck in my head lol.

Could I have a list of things allowed in the HSC

If you accidentally bring your phone into the literal exam hall, my suggestion would be to raise your hand and alert the invigilator as soon as you realise you've got your phone - just be honest with them and it'll all be fine, but for the love of god please give it over before reading time starts.

Could I have a list of things allowed in the HSC

Also, for geography, students may bring in things like string, calculator, protractor etc for the geography skills section. I'd check with your teacher to make sure you don't miss anything if this applies.

Keep making algebraic mistakes - any advice?

Yeah I make extensive use of the verify mode as well as the memory functions. Verify is for if I'm worried that I've fucked up some simple log law or something and the memory works great when there's long ass formulae or messy numbers to be worked with.

Keep making algebraic mistakes - any advice?

Yeah mate sounds good, this has actually been my biggest area of improvement since trials - although graphing tends to fuck me a little. Anyway, I'll figure it out lol.

Keep making algebraic mistakes - any advice?

Hmm well given that there's no way I'm completing a 3 hour exam in 1.5 hours I'm gonna be looking at some of those other strategies hahaha. Main thing I'm gonna work on is subbing back answer into initial equation where that's possible. Hopefully that'll eliminate enough mistakes to have it not...

Keep making algebraic mistakes - any advice?

Hey everyone, so maths advanced HSC in a few weeks and I'd like some advice before then. So basically, I understand most of the concepts in the course pretty well - like I get what a question is asking me to do at any given point, but when I complete it I very regularly make silly mistakes when...

Need advice on how my trials/ranks can be reflected in my ATAR

Thank you! Unfortunately for English - I'd been doing literally the same throughout the year, in fact I threw everything into these trials to save my ranking a bit, but to no avail. So honestly, my final rank for English will be very much middle of the pack average and Maths will be at the...
