For maths, its better to do the exercises than to write down summaries of the chapter. For physics, follow the dot points and start doing some past questions If you feel confident enough start sinking into past trials, notes can only get you so far

Usually after you finish a chapter in school, probably at the end of the week. The holidays is when you catch up, your not going to have enough time balancing note making and hw at the same time.

Doesn't matter if its either printed or handwritten. It's like asking which exercise loses more weight, swimming or running? They're both different, what matters is the effort you put in. About wasting ink, as long as you use black and white it's fine.
