Honestly, I go hardcore gaming during the holidays- because there's simply no time during the school term to devote to gaming. If you don't have any holidays work, and you're doing decently in your subjects, then why not take a well earned break? It might be a good idea the day or two before...

Major works are very time consuming, without a good time management, two major works might just be the end of you. But the advantage is that part of your HSC is done before the final external exam even though major works count as part of that. :)
