Thanks guys about the adv/stand english thing, because they make such a huge deal that advanced is that much harder. The texts in standard are easier (and more interesting) to read than advanced ones im pretty sure

We were warned about how English advanced is a lot harder than English standard. That's the only thing I remember!

Yeah I can understand, coastal management isn't the most exciting topic by far.

Ummm... I don't know. I don't think there's a mandatory requirement for you to pass your year 9 elective subjects. However, if you did poorly, you can change that elective, in year 10, if your school allows. In year 10 though, if there's satisfactory evidence that you simply didn't try...
