English is subjective - it has to be. Problem I have is that the teacher that checks my work and validates it, doesn't always end up marking it. I can't list on my fingers how many times I've had my work checked by my Adv teacher only to get fucked by the marker.

In terms of practicality - than yes, Italian or French but if you seriously just want to learn Greek, love the language and are keen to study it - than go ahead.

Haha, agreed - Orwell has a beautiful way of creating that atmospheric melancholy without explicitly going into it. I love him. His writing was always an easy read; not necessarily a testament to how bad it was, he wasn't a pretentious twat that's for sure lol.
