    The Tennis Thread

Re: The Official Tennis Thread Murray was so close. His performance was definitely a lot better this year & he had quite a smooth run. The switch to a new coach was a smart decision for him. Djokovic vs. Nadal for the Men's final.

    General Recommendation of Resource books

Advanced English - Excel covers all of the AOS books but I don't recommend Excel as it isn't the best you can get. Try to borrow it from the library if possible. There's also a brand called Top Notes which is pretty good. You can also order some pretty cheap study guides for some books online...

    Studying at tafe

Wow, I'm surprised your friend managed to get into uni with a cert 3. I thought you at least had to complete a diploma. Whichever course you end up doing you should aim to get a Distinction in all your units. TAFE is actually offering a Bachelor in IT degree (Network Security). It might be...

    Who's ready for Year 11?!

Usually the first 2-3 weeks of school are free travel for high school students as we don't receive our bus or train passes until the 3rd week of school. This means that you can try out both routes and see which one you prefer. Personally, I think going by train and bus is a lot faster. That 1...

How to make an oral presentation interesting?

If you decide to use Prezi make sure you don't go overboard & make the audience dizzy. There's also SlideRocket. Video clips can help keep the attention of the audience. Infographics are great for presentations as they give the audience some statistics in a nice form.
