    Is it true that...

Yeah, because my parents are cleaners and they work for several clients in the North and East and they undoubtedly talk to my parents with a condescending tone. For some, when I mention what degree I'm doing in uni (when I'm helping my parents work), they shut their mouths and swallow their...

    Is it true that...

Oh, my uni friend was telling me how in the midst of introductions, they will soon establish a first impression. For instance: Me: "My name is X. I'm from this X High School" Them: "Is that a Private School?" Me: "Nope" Them: "Where is it located?" Me: "In the south west" Them: "Oh..." And so...

Do you have msn, if so you could private message me your email and we can talk through MSN? I hate talking through BOS, it's a hassle and I can show you my timetable as well.

Yep I did. I'm doing Intermediate Korean A and I changed my timetable around. I don't have Fridays off anymore :( But I do have Mondays off :D Downside is that, I have a three hour break on Thursday and only one lecture on wednesday morning so that sucks. On the other hand, my classes are close...

Hey, yeah it was a last minute decision. As cliched and contrived as it sounds, my heart was telling me to do International Studies/Law. I saw some of the content in Comm/Law and it didn't seem appropriate for me so I changed back. How come USYD wont let you change? :O YES! Djokovic played an...

    Is it true that...

uni students from the affluent areas such as the north and the east look down on those who come from the west, i.e the inner west and south west of Sydney? I was curious, because all my friends who are currently in uni say that they do and the majority are snobs and you just learn to adapt to...

    Seeking for Tutoring Centres.

My friends work at Peak right now and I hear quite a lot of good things about their teaching except the overloading of students in one class. But, apparently they're trying to cut down on that though.

Fav and Least Fav Subject at this point in?

English is not bad, if taught correctly. I think a lot of English teachers just suck, hence the horrible experience with the subject.

    Academia-Employment

I've always wanted to secondary teaching for English because I love the field of English, but I have a greater passion for law. So, I would love to teach law as a lecturer at uni in the future. Seems like a pretty decent job.

LEGAL STUDIES! (pointers within :D )

I agree with the aforementioned post. Having said that, I received 97 for Legal Studies and I always told myself - always use legislation and articles to backup your points. Also, never forget the link back to the question. Like English, it is crucial to keep weaving your points back to the...

    Timetable - Help me choose.

Theyre public and contracts. You don't do these because they aren't recommended in the handbook for Commerce/Law students whereas I do International Studies/Law. I'm recommended to do Public Law, Contracts and Foundations including 12U of International Studies units.

    Timetable - Help me choose.

Hey guys, I have a bit of a dilemma. I found two possibilities in terms of timetabling for Sem 1 that I like. For my original timetable, I have a three day weekend and I end not too late on most days: On the other hand, this timetable gives me two days off (that is, Tuesday and Friday)...

Yeah my chinese is really rusty. I speak cantonese at home - but I can't practise much since most of my family live overseas. That's why, I'm not sure which level of chinese to choose, because I speak cantonese as well. Have you completed the placement interview?

I speak cantonese at home to my parents but even then it's not so great, because I don't have much family here (to practise my chinese). My parents convince me to learn mando, so I am, but I'm not sure where my level is at. That being said, have you done the interview for the placement?

Ah I see, at this point in time, I know more Korean than I do compared to Chinese. I've forgotten a lot of chinese. I'm just scared that beginners will be too easy (however I think I won't be alone because there will be many background speakers in beginners I think)
