The actual internal mark doesn't matter it's just your rank and relative gaps. E.g. if you got 50/100 internal mark overall but you're ranked 1st, your internal mark becomes the highest external mark even if it's 100. If you were, say 5th, then your internal mark will be APPROXIMATELY the 5th...
If you're first you won't be affected at all since first place's assessment mark is the highest external mark as well. My friend from a school around urs got 99.75 and another one in ranked 400s got in the 95s for atar so dw
Imo I knew someone who did extension 2 english, it's defs not worth the workload for 1 unit. It takes soooo much editing, reading, researching, fixing up, brainstorming, for 1 mark. I just don't think it's worth it unless you REALLY love english.
All rounders means a band 6 (90+ overall) in 10 units worth of subjects (doesn't have to include english).
State rank means you get one of the highest marks for the subject (so varies each year) which is usually high 90s for science (e.g. 97 98 etc) and usually 100 raw for maths subjects.
To be honest uni doesn't matter if you're a good candidate you'll get a job. That said, I've found MQ quite nice - I've met good people and friends ans everyone's supportive. I think there's a lot of societies to join with many events, the teaching has been fine so far, and there's many support...
I found that reading my peers' work who got good marks and trying out stuff that worked for them helped me improve a lot! Also take on feedback after each assessment and adjust study methods to see if different ones are more effective. Let me know if you need more help! :)
I think the most important thing (IN MY OPINION) is to know the content inside out. A lot of people go to papers before knowing the content which I think is less effective. I ended up doing around 10 past papers for physics HSC but since I had to cram revision of phys the day before the HSC I...
I'd do the 10 you're considering tbh. Less workload and you can focus on those subjects to increase their marks. Your ranks are really good for them too so it should be fine. That's basically what I did just did 10 units because I knew I could do good in bio/phys and 4u and it worked out fine!
All up to personal preference! I wrote mine for biology because it was part of homework and it was fine while for physics I just used notes from online (since it didn't need much of my own understanding/own wording, but rather it needed me to understand content that was already existing). I...
Ohh damn so we gotta transfer into the new course haha that sucks.... also gonna spend the holidays catching up due to bludging so much this sem + doing econ111 assignment + studying for midsems!
Hello, just going to type a short reply. I didn't even try the selective test and I went to a private/catholic school instead and I ended up getting a really high atar and a lot of my close friends also came from non-selective schools. They got high atars and are all motivated in succeeding in...
