loose leaf or exercise books for these subjects

Hey! I'm a loose leaf enthusiast and I would set out my notes for your subjects in this way. However, please take this post with a grain of salt. The art of notetaking varies with the individual depending on style, practicality and personal preference. :) Personally, I think both are great...

    UCAT Notes - 96th percentile - ONLY $10

Hi, I'm interested! Did you go to private coaching as well (Matrix, iCanMed etc.)?

Has anyone done this and is it possible?

You could try. Learning the entire Maths 2U syllabus sounds a little too ambitious though, it might result in sacrificing your other subjects to focus solely on maths. I went ahead but I did so in all of my subjects. I learnt the next module for science subjects, the next few topics for maths...

Am I dumb or is this true? HSC getting harder and harder each year.

I would agree and say 3U is getting easier. This trend may make a U-turn with the new syllabus being implemented in 2020 so who knows. Based on my experience, the difficulty of SOR1 papers have remained pretty constant, though my friends told me that the 2019 paper was a lot harder than previous...

Is it too late to start revising for the new term now? And what are the most effective ways to do it?

It's definitely not too late to get ahead of your studies. There's still Term 1 holidays, so you can knuckle down and make up for the time you lost during these holidays. I personally didn't do too much study in the Christmas break up until maybe the second week of January. The only thing I did...

Can you change from paying upfront to HECS?

I have resided in Australia for 16 years, but I have an overseas passport. oh okay, so I’ll probably have to wait until 2021 to apply for HECS. thank you !!

Can you change from paying upfront to HECS?

Hi! I am a prospective student commencing undergrad study in 2020, however, I am not eligible for HECS and HELP loans since I am a permanent resident and not an Australian citizen. If I apply for citizenship this year (when I turn 18), am I able to apply for HECS for the remainder of the...

    90+ with no Band 6's

Yes, it's very possible. I would say works more if you do higher scaling subjects like chem, maths and english advanced. I know people who got low band 6s and mid band 5s and end up with a 95+ atar. It's possible, but don't rely on scaling as it changes each year.

People who got >90 in subjects: how did you study?

I received final marks of over 90 in all my HSC courses so I believe I am qualified to contribute to this thread :) To keep it short and simple the greatest tip I have for those aiming for a 99+ atar is SELF-DISCIPLINE and CONSISTENCY. Studying on your own or without the guidance of others...

How can I do well at school without tutoring??

Short answer: YES! I went to a low ranking school (in the mid to low 200s) and duxed in the HSC. I was afraid that my school ranking was going to drag down my HSC marks since I knew that 70% or so of my cohort already received early offers to uni and so weren't going to try their best in the...

How many practice papers did you do and did your teachers mark them?

Since I sat the HSC for new syllabus subjects (Chem, Eng and Bio), I didn't do too many past papers for those. I bought the SUCCESS ONE Excel books 2019 Version for both Chem and Bio and did the entire thing. Helped me SO much for my trials and I topped my class in both subjects. For HSC, do the...
