I would look at the part where Kiera Knightly is 'discovered' by Benedict Cumberbatch as highly intelligent. This discovery is challenged by the patriarchal values of British society and the sexist mores of the time. This in turn could be seen as leading to new understandings etc.
Kamal's modern history notes are perfect. Having purchased his Germany notes I have come to appreciate how succinct and informative they are when dealing with some of the intricate information that relates to the National Study. Couldn't recommend these more to anyone studying Modern History.
Often you may get away with doing something from another syllabus if your school hasn't covered it but I wouldn't really recommend. What Danoraptor is saying is the type of topic you should be trying to do.
