Is Dux College better than PEAK?

There's also heaps of forums on this website that debate which college is the best: https://boredofstudies.org/threads/dux-college-or-matrix.265128/ https://community.boredofstudies.org/threads/dux-college-or-matrix-for-term-courses.287203/

    Flight school selection

I was in a similar position to you last year and decided I would get a degree first before training to become a pilot - It's the best decision I've ever made. I was looking at studying aviation this year and from what I gathered, a number of people said that it would be wiser getting a degree...

Does this mean that Year 11 marks will count as internals for our HSC?

From what I've read, they'll probably give people a choice when applying for universities through UAC: 1. Use internal assessment marks from Yr11; 2. Use marks from Year 12 (like a normal HSC year). That way, everybody has a fair (ish) chance of getting the ATAR they want.... They also said...

Flowchart of how HSC marks and ATAR are determined

Great resource! For those still confused, this PDF from UAC explains the process in more detail (page 5-7 explains the process really well ✌) - it cleared a lot of things up for me last year when I was in a similar situation... Hope it helps!

Is Dux College better than PEAK?

Last year I went to DUX for Maths 4U and Chemistry - in Year 11 I went to Matrix. From personal experience, I would highly recommend DUX College. The resources/support they provide are unrivalled and I definitely would not have received the results I got without them ...

ESSAY PARAGRAPHS - 24/25 in EXAM

How to USE: - Memorise each paragraph --> Mix and match paragraphs memorised to the question asked during exam/s. This method allowed me to get 24/25 for my family essay and a total mark of 96/100 (the crime question was hard :biglaugh:)

    Year 11 Contemporary Essay (23/25)

By hschelper01 (Bored of Studies Forum): Legal studies essay for which I scored 23/25 for. Definitely not perfect, but it's a good tool to use in order to understand the format for legal essays 🙂

SRS Entry for MQ and Co

The more extra-curricular you have, the more chance you have of getting an offer. Nowadays, universities and employers are really focussing on extra-curricular activities (volunteering, sport, leadership, work experience) because - whilst the ATAR is important - extra-curricular activities tell...
