I'm starting the HSC papers for the maths exams. How far back is everyone going? Is 85 too early?

A couple. One would get tedious for long periods. I try for a maths paper a day and then fill with other stuff that needs doing

Just think of the government altering the supply side- I.e maybe they are putting in tighter immigration policies regarding skilled workers. This would to an extent slow down firm activity. They could also raise consumption taxes like the GST which would have a contractionary effect.

For me not particularly, but it’s all down to your subjects and your ability really. So it could be very hard or very easy for you or somewhere in between.

Mine is nice and spread out but I have stuff right up until the end of week 4.

I think he might be referring to what we would call 'simultaneous equations'. Are these in the general maths syllabus? Surely they are.

That's not entirely correct. 95+ in all subjects- with let's say advanced and 3U maths would get you at least over 99.5 closer to .95.

Thinking of buying a math-aid. Are they worth it?

Most of the parametrics questions will get you to derive, if not usually they are given in the question. I can’t say I have seen many where you are expected to use another result without it being explicitly mentioned. The only thing I can think of is the condition for a focal chord, which is...

It's pretty straightforward but I can't seem to get it out. Thanks in advance. Prove by induction that for all integers n≥1: (n+1)(n+2)...(2n-1)2n= 2^n [1x3x...x(2n-1)]
