uts civil finished and received his degree and is now working with a company (not sure who), but i still dont really understand how he managed it with that kind of background

thought so, I reckon cambridge is the best for 3u / 4u... I will also use that when I tutor hopefully next year. But I might also use terry lee as the explanation of concepts is pretty extensive.

yeh I've heard yr 12 3/4 unit is brushed up on in a month or something.... not sure if that is accurate

also stuff like locus and the parabola might be examined, just do past hsc papers as they too, have prelim content inaugurated within

harder trigonometry definitely, memorise your trig identities

engineering with 2 unit... I can't say much as Im still in year 12, but i know people who did general and are now qualified engineers... Just focus the first year, that is their advice lol.
