    Clutch Band 6 Stories

Thanks for the advice. I'm not exactly that behind and incompetent for the subject in terms of content, meaning at one stage I've understood and known the content, just haven't touched a past paper, hence not being able to develop necessary exam techniques. However I'm worried about not being...

    Clutch Band 6 Stories

So not very often, but sometimes, I see threads on this forum about "HSC success stories", or how "My school estimated me at 80 but ended up getting 90" or "My rankings are really bad!!, can I still get X atar" I know the generic advice is "don't worry about internals, HSC is 50% of your...

maintaining a balance HSC past paper question

An increase in blood temperature (the stimuli) is a disturbance to the body's stable state and will consequently be detected by the hypothalamus (receptor) in the brain. The hypothalamus which is also the control centre, will then interpret this stimuli and create a response accordingly, in...

Should I consider Maths Ext 2?

In layman's terms, it just simply isn't counted to your ATAR when doing 4U.

Higher derivative product rule second degree differentiation

im assuming theres a little typo and that v is meant to = (t+3)(2t-1)^2. If the way InteGrand mentioned seems too confusing, just expand everything and differentiate v 2 times, so u wont have to worry about product rule. Just simple differentation, no brackets. I believe it should be 24t+16 ...

Temperature regulation for the Brush Tailed-Possum

In these notes im reading off (pretty reliable, the atar notes biology book thing by naomi sirmai), For the brush tailed possum, one of the responses to temperature change is that the organism will - "Body shape changes depending on temperature of area", then it goes onto say that if it is Hot...

11 units or 10 units for HSC?

Drop SOR1, do Catholic Studies, I doubt you have to put any effort into it (unless it will effect your chances of getting dux? idk). It won't count to your atar. No point even putting the slightest effort for an extra unit you don't even enjoy.

Any tips for starting Year 11?

Just my 2 cents - develop the utmost disciplined and quality form of study habits from here on, then when you reach those key moments of the HSC year (trials period, before hsc etc..), you won't have to worry about bad marks, cramming, procastination or being demotivated/"burnt out".

    HSC 2017 Predictions Thread [Economics]

^ but yeah improvements can be made so if theres anything else to add pls say so The feedback i got from teacher (hes a hsc marker), was that i "missed a few ideal points" (like talking about global eco gr more) and also needed more current stats.

    HSC 2017 Predictions Thread [Economics]

tbh depends on what type of exchange rate question. if its like "impact of changes in global eco on exchange rate and au eco gr" (which was the one in my trial), i structured it as - Intro (talk about recent trends and past trends e.g. floating of the ER 1983, and recent appreciation of the aud...

    Hardest and Easiest 2U topics?

I agree, there isn't a "definite hardest topic" with any of the HSC math's - a hard question in an exam can be assessed from any topic. However relative to the scope of difficulty of 2U and the depth it can assess, co-ordinate geometry is a very shallow topic, where traditionally (looking at...
