    Talent 100

i wrote their astrophysics notes and made a bunch of UMAT questions for them (medstart, which is owned by talent100). i turned down a physics teaching job so i haven't actually taught there but i know that their teachers are top notch

    Preparation for Good Mark

biology isn't really going to help with medicine to be honest, only do bio if you like it/are good at it, not because you think it's going to help. physics/chem are way more helpful also you're not going to get into UNSW with a 96 ATAR, 99 would already be in the bottom 25th %ile in my opinion

    UNSW vs UWS Med 2013

okay.jpg ceebs arguing. was just hoping for clarification but i don't think i'm going to get it

    Transferring into Medicine...yes, another one...:)

true but combined med with 99.95 is pretty close to being undergrad in that you can get in from high school and you're basically guaranteed a medical degree by the time you're out of uni

    Transferring into Medicine...yes, another one...:)

well if you're the type of person who actually has a chance at getting 99.95, a distinction average shouldn't be a problem in science at any uni. i'm afraid i don't have any statistics, maybe someone else could post some. however, i do have some anecdotal evidence regarding transfers. i have a...

asking prev UMAT students : Medentry or F2F more like actual test?

he did but the UMAT is basically a lottery with severely diminishing returns from study once you're ok at section 3 EDIT: on topic, f2f is absolute balls, i'd go with medentry

    Transferring into Medicine...yes, another one...:)

whoops back on topic, i'm not sure if anyone clarified this but if you're keen on medicine at usyd (and usyd only) you have to complete a whole undergraduate degree (as well as perform well in GAMSAT) before applying for the MBBS. med sci should prepare you for the GAMSAT so it's a good choice...

    UWS Medicine Help plz

aim for 98.5+ ATAR and 93rd %ile+ UMAT (assuming you performly relatively evenly across all sections). it helps if you also live in GWS frankly, you're going to need to be able to study properly to get through medicine, it is a content-heavy course. it is nice to think that being kind and...

    GAMSAT & Dentistry at USYD

the adv sci degree is the safe choice

    UWS percentile cutoff?

lowest i've heard of getting into UWS med was 88th %ile, not sure what his s3 mark was though

    UMAT Calculations!!

the raw scores you get in each section have almost nothing to do with the mark ACER gives you

    UNSW vs UWS Med 2013

pls explain. who isn't going to treat all med graduates equally? if you're talking about hidden biases, i guess everyone should also work on being less black/asian/gay/whatever i'd like to think that i had a part in this preference notsureifsrs anyway, yeah uws is pretty cool dunno much...

    Transferring into Medicine...yes, another one...:)

uws medicine =/= backyard shed don't use prestige as a deciding factor, it doesn't exist with medicine transport/desire to join uni societies/preference for course structure/etc are perfectly valid; prestige is not

    Is physics hard?

if you think chem requires very little understanding, you're doing it wrong

    Cssa physics 2012

lolwut anyway, just know your dot points, respond to the questions properly and remember that if you know your shit and you're struggling, everyone else is too.

    Physics study

make sure you've got the basic theory down (i.e. memorise as much as you can from a good set of notes). go over the syllabus and make sure there are no massive holes in your knowledge. if you can get through all of that by tuesday, you can do some past papers.

    Is physics hard?

it is not hard the marks you get in it will have a strong correlation with the amount of effort you put in, as with all subjects. the maths is definitely not hard, if you're doing well in 3u then calculation questions in hsc physics should be free marks
  18. B

    Who memorises essays for english?

memorised essays for my hsc. if the majority of students at the top selective schools got decent marks by this approach, there's gotta be some merit to it
