I want a new life. Like. Now. please. EDIT: No really I want some painkillers lol.

Apparently not, it doesn't specify, though the context it was described in at the EBA meeting for department managers (at Area office) was that of a split shift one, but with no notice. E.g. Staffmember X does 7 am - 11 am, signs off and goes home. The store can then call staffmember X and ask...

    The Woolworths Thread

No, only in states where the current EBA has already expired. In NSW, it comes into effect on July 1 (old one expires June 30). The 'payrise' is utter bullshit. Night staff get screwed like always. New rules about starting times, being actioned on a regional basis, result that most night staff...

I swear to God lol, more than 2 posts with word counts/day and I'm reporting you for spam :p It's for your own good! Banned off bos = more work done = everyone's a winner  $18K wtf?! Surely it's more like 1.8K and got wildly exaggerated somewhere along the line?!?! Our STM thought it...

60/40?! omg. At my store we have 4-6 pages of rosters for front end, and there are 2 older men who work on checkouts (it's their second job, supporting either their families or to help sponsor their families coming from overseas) and one school aged guy who works weekends mostly. That's it for...

CoreComms we received (we're a NSW store in region 7) had a 5 carton limit, but pretty sure some supervisors refused more than one carton/customer :uhoh: I was proud to have purchased the last carton of ANY Winfield variety lol

Lol, you should all tell your CSMs to pull their fingers out and actually work for their money. CSM at my store does at least 11 or 12 hours, 5 days a week, often more than 12 hours. Also yay lol I'm now arguing with my mother. Apparently I'm "grumpy at her". I'm like yeah well of course I'm...

No, they can't push Credit anymore, only Chq/Sav, as if the customers push Credit Woolies has to wear the cost of the transaction (saving the banks money). Someone already explained this, but I cbf reading the last 8 pages of posts. ANYWAY I only worked 2.5 days this week as I hurt myself...

Lol. Well in nearly four years (the most of which I've been PPT/Full time) I've taken like 5 or 6 weeks holidays total. So... sup >200 hours :p :( My shortest shift so far this week has been 13 hours! Yay I have 2 TOIL days. 115.5 hours/week.

I hate IGA because Coles has a large share of them. So independent yeah? Looking forward to it immensely :) And I totally wound up the hero by cutting 28 hours out of my Sunday roster and adding only 8 of them back in!

I'm going to have a terrible week :) Monday: My manager is doing overnight at another store, so I will have her for all of 3 or 4 hours tomorrow. She will probably come in in the afternoon and do some cleaning. So I will run the front including full freezer fill by 7.30 am, and full range of...

No. You need a later availability than that to be useful in nightfill, imo. If you're 15 and still at school, some NSW law also prevents you from working later than 10 pm (or some bs time like that) on school nights. You're better off applying for grocery (dayfill), freshies or front end.

Yeahhhh I have a Dad sense of humour when I'm tired (always) :p I think it's just an excuse - for girls AND gay guys :p - pretty much allowing us to think that we have no chance due to their sexual orientation, rather than the fact that they're just too... gorgeous. Haha. Bakery has a dock...

Oh also. We had some Norwesters at our store the other day looking at some hotworks on a bench that had been fucked up in my department. Everyone was rawrrrr about it including me. The fact that one of them was RIDICULOUSLY good looking saved me :o (thoughgiven his looks, he's most likely gay :(...
