Eastern Suburbs Preliminary and HSC Chemistry Tutoring (93 HSC Chemistry Mark)

Hi, my name is Rachael. I finished my HSC in 2014 with a band 6 (mark of 93) in chemistry after maintaining a first place ranking in my class throughout years 11 and 12. I have received an offer to study Advanced Science and Law on a scholarship at UNSW in 2015. My rate is $25/hour for both...

    English Extension 2 Results?

The assessment mark I got from my school was 50. External was 44, but I was a class of one so I had no one to bring up my assessment. I'm a bit disappointed, I wasn't expecting an external 50 but I was expecting higher than 44...

I totally burnt out in June and never managed to motivate myself to start working again. I got a 96.55 with no study beyond completing assessments and reviewing for a few hours before the HSC exams (notable exception is chemistry, I spent a fair amount of time on the marathon thread for that)...

A girl in my class got 75 and got into her first preference. I got 96.55 and didn't. The only purpose your ATAR serves is getting you into the course you want to study at university, so in my opinion she was more successful than me. If your ATAR gets you to where you want to be you've succeeded...

I just told him it meant he got exactly 30, but rather than writing it .00 when it's an exact whole number they put an asterix. I know I shouldn't lie but I don't want to tell him he got less than 30...

Sounds good! Great to see all the 99+ here. Meanwhile, at rank 600 schools, a guy in my English class just sent me this message do I want to break it to him?

Really? I thought UNSW didn't do early entry, that's funny. Must have a different name and I missed it or something. What do you want to study next year?

Wow that's great! You must be so happy :) second at my school was 95.7, and it went to my best friend so I'm so pleased. $4000 from UNSW for duxing even if I did just miss out on law! I doubt UNSW Law entry will drop to 99.55, but I really hope it does. I think USyd law is taking a bigger intake...

Yeah I think the extra year will give me time to decide if law is even what I really want. I decided I wanted to be a lawyer when I was seven years old and never really questioned it. I think it will be good to get some more perspective/maturity before I decide what to do with my life.
