    CSSA Ancient History 2011

Re: CSSA Ancient History... The questions I did through past papers on my personality, Pericles came up in the exams - yes both of them! And I did a practise essay on the roles of Aristides and Cimon, which also came up in the exams. Only regret? Not revising properly.

How are you going to study for the trials this holidays?

I think I'm just going to stick with answering past HSC questions... making notes is too time-consuming.

how many hours do you study a day?

Me too... I don't get why some people place more emphasis on homework over assessments. Homework has never been a top priority for me and it will never be.

    Designer goods :)

I hate the tacky designer prints that screams, "LOOK AT MEEEEEE, CHECK OUT THIS DESIGNER BRAND!" Especially LV bags. It's like a piece of walking advertisement. I really like Helmut Lang, A.P.C, Phillip Lim and Rachel Comey for its subtly.

how many hours do you study a day?

Coffee works for me. I use it to boost my memory in the short-term, not to stay awake and study all night. I'm only drinking one cup of black coffee every morning. I think I may have worded it there a bit dramatically. Oh well, I guess it really depends on the individual.

how many hours do you study a day?

I haven't done MUCH consistent studying this year. I only did the minimal when required, like for an upcoming assessment task or exams. Since trials are coming up in a month and I'm on a holiday break now--I think it's time for me to start studying seriously now and drink shitloads of coffee.

    English Advanced

I was ranked near bottom for English in my prelims but now I'm achieving over 90% in most of my English assessments in year 12. One of the assessment task I had recently was an in-class comparative essay. Three weeks up leading to it, I worked on my first draft and handed it in to my...

    Rate your stress level !

0-1. HSC is all about time management and finding motivation. I gave up my ways of procrastinating in the last minute in year 11, instead I make a start with my assessments straight away. Maybe this is the reason why I am finding year 12 so much easier and less stressful than year 11!

    memorising a 1.5k essays in a week?

I memorise my 1.2k words essay in a day using this method: http://www.productivity501.com/how-to-memorize-verbatim-text/294/#comments Recalling is important, not repetition like re-writing or re-reading your essay.
