Yep 90% sure I'm going to ANU for a double degree wither Science/Languages or Medical Science/languages :) I've applied to live at john's. I agree about moving out of home (I'm from sydney) - I can't wait o experience college/on campus life!

So in terms of best preparing myself for the GAMSAT i should stick with a science based undergrad but it wouldn't REALLY matter if its normal science or medical science?

I know there is no 'recommended' undergrad for postgrad medicine but is it more beneficial to do med science over a normal science degree?

Are ANU's prerequisites just assumed knowledge like all sydney universities or will they actually not let you in unless you've done it? I want to get into med science but haven't done yr 12 Chem and I really don't want to do a bridging course (accommodation/timing/money is really inconvenient).

everyone told me not to drop ex1 maths but honestly it was the best choice i was so much less stressed and i had way more time to focus on my other subjects! I proved all my teachers wrong (they said I would do badly in 2u maths) but it was the best choice i ever made HSC wise :)

yep I fit the criteria so thats great news but just curious if we have to wait until after UAC for college offers??

Or do they all come from the ANU accommodation website? When do the offers come out? Im from sydney and they say they don't make offers until after UAC but how can I accept an offer when I might not get a place in a college?

I missed the first 2 weeks of yr 11 because I was finishing an exchange overseas and it was no problem!

Not sure for financial (mine is medical) but apparently they definitely look at it!

Like if the minimum is 98.5 but I got 98.35 and have EAS points, will they look at my application? Has anyone heard of this happening?

I think for EAS the universities are automatically told about your EAS and add them on without you having to tell them :) Not sure how it works for interviews though, but thats what I've been told for normal entry

i got 92 exam mark, and only 3 people in my cohort got B6! Last year there were 14! Same teachers etc Also I was ranked 4 and got a 87 assessment mark so 90 overall HSC mark

but what about their undergrad bachelor of medicine / bachelor of surgery for 99.95+Umat scores?

Re: Where/when do we get info about our scaled marks and what units contributed to AT It just said my ATAR and completed units of study, along with which units contributed to the ATAR :) Haha they letter is tamper proof so they would have a hard time trying to lie about it if their parents...
