Re: Scoring 80+ ATAR ATAR/UAI is a rank based index. It is your rank reported on a scale of 00.00 (though those with an ATAR lower than 36.00 won't be able to see their UAI) to 99.95 relative to other HSC students.

Re: Scoring 80+ ATAR HSC Marks are all aligned so they are by no means an indication of marks you should be getting in school. Ranks > Marks. You would need ranks somewhere close to the top. Top 20 percentile perhaps? And also ATAR is rank, not percent All the best.

More people get in the higher bands in AdvEng than StdEng Do Advanced first, consider dropping later if you do not do well
