That's bc they most likely accelerated themselves Just finish the whole course by the end of the term (hopefully) and start doing past papers then you can catch up to the others

I don't know if they can or not but I know that some schools have a requirement of some sort where you must do well in order to get into advanced english (I think they do this because they don't want the weaker kids dragging the other people down) You could try and change schools

By the time he starts the HSC course, he's prob gonna be smashing past papers

A lot of people make the regret of dropping from Advanced to Standard, mainly because they realise it's the same stuff but Standard aligns horribly. They also think that if they drop from advanced, it'll guarantee better results
