    Projectile motion

Need help with this question. A sniper is standing with his gun raised 30 degrees above the horizontal with the end of the barrel 2.0 metres above the ground. The muzzle velocity of the rifle is 800 m/s. Calculate the range of the bullet. I think I got the answer but im not really sure since I...

    Projectile motion problem

All your ways of solving it looked kinda funny, so I used the equation from the syllabus. v^2=u^2+2*a*s Substitute all of the numbers in and you'll get 11.71 something and I think that should be the right answer.

    Semi-projectile motion question

I used the impulse formula and got the same answer, is that okay? The only thing is that with the conservation formula, I get a negative value of speed, instead of 71, i get -71m/s.

    Semi-projectile motion question

Yea I used the impulse formula and got the answer, I just need a way to type it out properly so it can be emailed. Btw the answer is 71.11111... m/s.

    Semi-projectile motion question

My friend emailed me this question, wanting me to do it for him. I've figured out how to do it except I'm not sure how to email it back in an understandable way.. :mad1: It's a multiple choice question from his prelim half yearlies. A golfer swings a 0.2 kg golf club towards a gold ball of mass...

    projectile question

    Not sure if these are right...but a) v=u+at, 0=u+(-9.8*20) u=196m/s let W = angle of elevation tanW = 50/200 W=14degrees 2 minutes b) 196cosW c) 196sinW d) s=u*t s=(196cosW)x20 s= 3803m (I assumed that they wanted the FULL range of the projectile..not the range to the castle...

    Jacaranda Pendulum Experiment

This experiment is from the Jacaranda HSC Science Physics 2 book. (pg 11 analysis questions if you have the book) As I understand, >From the Period formula (T=2*pi root l/g <-cbf to write properly), you can make it [4*(pi)^2]/g = T^2/L. >T^2/L is m(gradient) as T^2 is the y axis and L is the...

    Uni UAI

Hey guys, not sure if this is in the right sub-forum..but anyways.. The course I want in UNI (Bachelor of Aviation) requires an 80 UAI (possible a bit more) from UNSW. Lets say I get an 80, what are my chances of getting into the course? Would a uni pick students with higher UAIs? To get...

    Aviation???

Anyone else thinking about trying out for the UNSW dept. of Aviation?? Very expensive.., like 120000bucks or something for a three year course but that includes flight training and all the licenses. No need for tafe either, just one big course that covers everything..

Anyone interested in the UNSW dept. of Aviation??

Being a pilot would be fun =)) Also, you dont need to be a super smart student, just a medical, interview and around 80UAI (depending if they have too many people for the amount of slots they have).
