    UCAT at uni?

If you have done 48cp aka 1 years worth of full time study, they look at your GPA. But also, why would you do that, just do post grad medicine. In fact, doing different degrees (as opposed to doing med from the get go) will enable you to a) have back up careers and b) be able to bring more to...

    discrete mathematics

Is it crucial for understanding algorithms or can I get by having not done it?

    School rankings

If you're basing the move purely off of atar, don't make the move. You're leaving behind all your friends from school and risking it for another school that may or may not be a good fit for you. Do more research. What's the commute like, what are the people like, what subjects do they excel at...

    School rankings

They only matter if you're not near the top of your cohort. Basically, 5th at a top 10 school might get you a 97 in internals, whereas 5th in a top 300 school might get you something much lower. However, if you're ranked first in both, then the sky is the limit. The main reason why people...

    Subjects - many many questions

    1. If you're uncertain of doing law, then sure, might as well give it a shot and see if you'll enjoy it 2. Maths is pretty damm important 3. Biology maybe, Chemistry not really. 4. Biology. The immune system module is amazing
  6. D

    State rank

You will care for approximately 2 weeks and then it won't matter once you're at Uni. It will be useful if you want to advertise your tutoring but that's about it.

    Please.. begging for some guidance

Maths is super important, so yeah, i'd recommend to keep it

    Should I Drop It?

You should definitely keep MX1 if you want to be an engineer. Also, you've nearly finished your trials, so what is the point of dropping it so late. You've learnt nearly all the content already.

    Dotpoint or Excel Success One?

excel have fantastic papers if you want to challenge yourself. idk about dotpoint
  10. D

    Advanced Mathematics

No, it's like an intro to calc I. You learn a lot about derivatives and integration, but you don't learn about integration by parts, Riemann sums, the fundamental theorum of calculus.

    Is this argument Viable?

Unlike his counterparts, Stalin leveraged the public sentiment, reflecting the mood of the country, therefore elevating his political authority and social appeal. Lenin did it too. Also wdym reflecting the mood of the country? He wasn't reflecting it, he was constructing an identity.

    Career Opportunities w/ MedSci

For the record, i'm also in the same shoes as you and I decided on doing Biomedical Engineering/Computer Science before med school. I totally agree that science is ever evolving, BUT, no one is going to employ a bachelor of medical sciences to work in research and devleopment, you employ...

    Career Opportunities w/ MedSci

Medsci degrees are a bad idea. Pretty crap employability and don't boost your chances of getting into medschool. If you want to be a haematologist, you will need to do an M.D. For that, you can do any bachelors. I'd recommend doing one in an area that can act as a back up plan in case you don't...

    NEED URGENT ADVICE

Buy/find notes for those subjects, you don't have time to write your own. Learn those notes and start asap doing past papers. Perhaps consider getting a tutor to keep you motivated. good luck
  16. D

How many past papers is enough to do before trials?

bout 10 for sciences, 20 for maths you should be able to do one for each subject every two days if you're doing it in exam conditions. then again, don't go overboard and prioritise mental health

Timing for paper 1 (calling 2019 students)

I spent 50m on sec1, 40m on sec2. It's much easier to get 2 more marks in section 1 than it is for an essay. I wanted my section 1 to be as good as it could be before moving on

    History ESSAY LENGHT

Depends on your handwriting. Around 900-1200 but can't know for sure. General rule of thumb is at the very least least 1 booklet (4 pages) per essay. Less than that is too short and even if your arguments are sound, the markers may be disinclined to give you a high mark
