    First year core curriculum units

Looking for info in regards to the difference between the two philosophy units and UNCC?

UNSW Vis Sci/Optom or USYD Physio?

@Hithcock Which core curriculum unit did you do in your first year? Any insight in the differences between them? I have never done religion at school, so I think I should choose one of the philosophy units, not UNCC.

Study a preferred course far away from home or study a 2nd preferred course (not a pathway to 1st) degree that is near home?

Maybe try to get into Occupational therapy at WSU. I heard units are almost identical to physio in the first year, and then transfer?

Study a preferred course far away from home or study a 2nd preferred course (not a pathway to 1st) degree that is near home?

You are welcome. My understanding is that completing Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (4 years) gives you a much higher chance of getting into Physio Masters as opposed to the 3 year exercise science. This way you would actually have two occupations (exercise physiologist and physiotherapist)...

Study a preferred course far away from home or study a 2nd preferred course (not a pathway to 1st) degree that is near home?

Hi there It looks like you gathered some great info and thought deeply about your options. I do believe that transferring into physio after the first year is quite hard (because they are capped, therefore no vacancies). Only you can decide if you could live away from Sydney for 4 years, but you...

    Exercise Physiology

Thank you, but fortunately I no longer need to make this decision as I will be studying physiotherapy. Excercise physiology was a plan B :)

Help Please!! ACU vs USYD Physiotherapy

Also, I heard USYD is more theory based whilst ACU focuses more on practical stuff hence producing job-ready graduates. Reportedly 96% of ACU graduates are employed full time 4 months after graduating.

Help Please!! ACU vs USYD Physiotherapy

At ACU all of the 4th year is clinical placements only. At USYD some are in year 3 and some in year 4. Clinical supervisors expect more from a year 4 student, therefore having all placements in your last year would be advantageous IMO.

Help! Deciding on whether or not to drop to 10 units :(

I would drop visual arts because: 1. Not just that you are not enjoying it, it is actually stressing you out and you don't need that on top of all other stressors that year 12 brings 2. The teacher is not supportive 3. Visual Arts does not scale well I did only 10 units in Year 12 and tried my...

    Atar Calculator Scaling

I am unable to answer your question, however I can confirm that HSC Ninja appears to be quite accurate. It overestimated my ATAR by 0.60. Matrix calculator was even more accurate underestimating my ATAR by only 0.05.

    School rank, HSC and ATAR

Yep! Much easier, faster and less expensive ;)

    School rank, HSC and ATAR

ACU :D it was always my first choice. I heard from different sources that ACU Physiotherapy is highly regarded by employers. Reportedly 96% of graduates employed full time within 4 months of graduating. Thank you for all helpful tips and hints over the past months!

    School rank, HSC and ATAR

I agree 100%. And thank you 😁 it feels good when hard work pays off!

    School rank, HSC and ATAR

I am pleased to say that this doesn't worry me any longer as my ATAR was high enough to get me in my dream course :) however IMO it is fair that high 80s in more difficult subjects lead to higher ATARs than 90s in easier subjects.

    ATAR Estimate please

pleased to report my ATAR is 92.60 :)

How long does it take? Would it be done by Wednesday 23rd or later offer rounds? What subjects do you think are more likely to have dodgy stuff happen? Thanks
