So much English talk - it's making my brain bleed. Just finished reading The Catcher in The Rye. It's officially the worst book ever... Now I just need to finish Pride and Prejudice for next year (it's on the Yr. 12 reading list for me) and I'll be happy.

According to Google Translate, it says "Hello my name is ellie, you can call me Kingston ~ Today raining a lot. : C cold DD: My brain fart" however, I don't believe that is 100% correct XD

I think that English, as a language, is equally important to Maths however I think that Maths as a subject is more important and useful (to me, anyway). If, however, the subject English was more focused on the ability to write more, rather than to analyse texts in freakish detail, than I would...

Usually, I'd agree with Maths > English however I've been finding English easier for some weird reason this year plus it provides an escape from all my Science subjects.

Been a while since I've posted here. Seems like most of you are doing well :) Can't believe we're almost half way through the year, it's gone so fast. Can't decide if I want to do English or Specialist Maths (similar to y'all ext. Maths I think?) next year :(

Hilarious video my English teacher showed us today on the importance of proofreading.

I'm glad you lot seem to be doing well on your exams! (And don't worry if you didn't do so great, you still have over half a year left of prelim! And it is only prelim, anyway). <insert clapping emote here>

Yes, it has been very tiring! English for me has also been quiet a leap due to having a really easy year 10 Eng teacher. And welcome to BoS :)

    Which subjects?

As someone currently doing all three Sciences, it is not too bad. Just make sure that he likes all of them because, as I'm sure you know, there is no point in doing a subject that you don't enjoy. If he is looking to study Sciences in Uni, then I would recommend doing all three because all the...

Same here! I've been "regenerating" my energy and motivation.

Ughh from next year, the ATAR in South Australia will be calculated from 90 credits (each semester of a subject = 10 credits, a full year subject = 20 credits), instead of 80. This means that I can either rely on getting a good score in the subject Research Project (which was previously my...

Found this on the web. It 100% describes why I hate reading assigned English books.

Anyone in year 11 from a normal public school.. lol

I also go to a normal, non-selective, public school here in SA. While I do not think schools here receive a rank, if we were it would not be good. My school is also dead broke at the moment as well, with a huge decrease in enrollments. But, as I tell myself, if you are smart enough you can learn...
