Five teens die in worst smash ever seen

When i drove in NT, We drove in an XR6, sat on 200km/h. Never felt unsafe at all. I still think speed limit should be raised to 140km/h on Highway. All turns on highways have >=3% crossfall, this would compensate for the speed.

    Butter or Margarine?

ditto Heres a more interesting Q: Why does a toaster have a setting on it that burns bread to a horrible crisp that noone would ever eat?

Need to get the rest of my textbooks -- urgent!

You be able to tell, they are very easy to distinguish as kaz1 said, Cambridge is Orange and has pictures of Buildings in the background. Terry Lee is dark blue and says "7th edition, Advanced Mathematics". They are both 4U and i believe, they are both very good books

Where and how much do you tip?

Exactly this. This thread is retarded. I would never tip at a bar, pub, restaurant. The only time i've ever tipped would be if i put in $39.97 of petrol and then they said "That'll be $39.95", i would handover $40, and say "keep the change" lol

Share your 2009 HSC results here

Holy shit! You do realise that if you memorised a few essays, you could have prob got like 85 atleast. ATAR of like 99.5 or something. Work harder, ATAR of 99.8+ Also you must realise that if you walked into the exam and wrote nothing but your student number you would have got 50 HSC mark...

4 Unit Revising Marathon HSC '10

    Well done ^ ! Nice first post lol Heres a new question: (Harder 3U) i) Prove: 1 - r2 + r4 - r6 + r8 - ... = 1 / (1 + r2), for | r | < 1 ii) Hence find a series for tan inverse iii) Hence show that pi = 4 - 4/3 + 4/5 - 4/7 + 4/9 ...

    2 Unit Revising Marathon

Re: 2 Unit Revising Marathon HSC '10 Next Question: In a complex pulley system, the length of rope L needed for operation and the distance x m from a specific pulley to the centre of the system is defined by: L=(x2-20x+136)1/2 + (x2+64)1/2 Find the distance x m that the pulley should be...

3 Unit Revising Marathon HSC '10

Nah i wasn't saying it was 2U material at all... It's definitely 3U. Doesn't matter anyway, lets move on. Got a new Q Jm01? I can't think of one
  14. addikaye03

3 Unit Revising Marathon HSC '10

I still think it's a 4U concept. I think you would find students who do 2/3U wouldn't understand it. I'm not saying your teacher didn't teach you it in year 11, i'm just saying it's 4U content

3 Unit Revising Marathon HSC '10

Although i would have used the same method. That's not a 3U method. Let roots be: a, a, b, c. Answer: e^(ln2x)=2x therefore d/dx(2x)=2 Question: (easy one) prove nCk+nC(k-1)=(n+1)Ck

    How Small is Too Small?

Read up on scientific facts on Wiki or something. People just talk shit on here. "Is 12" big enough?"-pfft, everybody knows 12'' is ridiculously big. I think you'll find the avg is like 5''-6''. /delete thread

4 Unit Revising Marathon HSC '10

God i'm retarded, thanks untouchable, really shoulda got that lol.. I did Q.1 a little differently. Since ab=1, and a+b=-3 therefore a and b are negative. rt(a^2)=-a. a=1/b, and b=1/a. rt(a^2)+rt(b^2)=(-a)+(-b)=-(a+b)=3. LOL Yours makes mine look tedious. Wouldn't your solution suggest the...

4 Unit Revising Marathon HSC '10

Unless someone wants to do the above tedious Conics Q. New Questions: 1. (Pretty easy): If a+b=-3 and ab=1, find rt(a/b)+rt(b/a). 2. (Bonus Q, i can't think of a soln): ∫cosx dx/(7+cos2x) [Probably something really simple, just blonde moment lol]
