Yeah I was actually wondering if that table was there to confuse us and wasn't even necessary. I doubt that is the case but I had no idea how to do that one.

I got 90% in ours which was the Catholic paper. I fluked it a bit though. What raw mark do you reckon you need in the HSC for a band 6?

I'm not sure for this exam but about 20% are common. It's not algebra or anything.

I didn't come across anything based on content not covered in standard. It just required a level of problem solving which I haven't really seen in a standard paper before.

Oh for that one I think I just got the x value when the area was greatest on the graph and substituted it in to the 2y+2x=900 or whatever that equation was.

I had to think about it for a while but you had to divide the perimeter by ten to find the length of one side of the triangles, then to find the angle on the inside divide 360 by ten then just use trig to find the other sides and then the area of the triangle then multiply it by ten because...

Yeah I think it was about 101. It was pretty easy because if you write out the z score formula they both had Z as the subject so they had to equal each other.

Yeh the formula was like y=-10...+bx and the temperature was 19 degrees so with a gradient of roughly 2 that works out being about 29.

Haha, I was just making sure I hadn't screwed up majorly in the exam.

I can't remember the final answer but I for the gradient 'b' I got 2 point something and then just lugged the rest of the numbers into the formula.

Yeah ok, I did something similar...But I was confused abut the effect taking money out would have. I ended up with 43000 I think. Anyone else get that?
