I've done Chinese before at UNSW. Tbh don't do it at the uni - essentially you're supposed to learn languages at somewhere more practical. In uni though, it's more theoretical and they teach you culture stuff and things don't go too much in depth. Then you just cram for exams (which are fucked...

Definitely give them a call or an email or something - it won't hurt to give them a check. You won't lose anything from now onwards, if anything you might get your money back.

As for physics, make sure you keep up to date with quizzes, labs and the content. Work quite a bit here and there and make sure to collaborate with others for quizzes. For maths though, try a bridging course or self-study the fitzpatrick 3U textbook. And during class make sure to pay attention...

I would think it's a good idea as well - plenty of kids just do the high scaling subjects (i.e. 4U maths, physics, chem), and then pick a course based on what ATAR they got, which often or not tends to be combined law. And then they realize they make a wrong choice because in the end they don't...

Been told that USYD's teaching is pretty bad compared to UNSW as a general overall feel. This is coming from people who studied at USYD and transferred into UNSW and vice-versa.

Imo UNSW still > USYD despite all the funding cuts and the uni becoming worse in general (except unigym, ofc, now that there is getting better)

Yup, there is a strict minimum enforced for incoming commerce transfers since there's so many people wanting to transfer into it.

nekminnit all the tutoring colleges go in on this and expecting all duh $$$$ to be made. I've also still yet to see a Statistics and a computer science course - very important imo because data science and computing is pretty much the future of Australia.
