General question: do results in Year 11 tend to carry on to Year 12? Has anyone seen huge fluctuations in ranks?

2016 o.o For me, a decent job that will enable me to work in my homeland.

Having an estimate ATAR of 85 and thinking of repeating is absolutely mind-boggling.

If it's for assessments, finish writing a pre-prepared essay earlier than everyone else (but try to maintain quality) and hand it to the teacher. This way the teacher can give you feedback quicker and thus you have more time to look over and fix your mistakes.

I do both histories and I find that the workload is not heavy at all. Both modern and ancient are very different in content and are both enjoyable in their own ways.

Ah they must've changed it then... this year both were out of 25. Do you remember how you went? haha

It was out of 25. I got 21.

Overall pretty disappointed. Went surprisingly well in English though...

To be honest OP, do subjects that you think you will do well in for the HSC. Picking subjects solely for the purpose of having a cushion in uni is a bit farfetched imo. And how do you know you'll make it into Law or Commerce?

Definite 99s if you improve your English even slightly. So jelly of your ranks!
