    Construction management bachelor

UWS also has a construction management degree. I seem to meet a lot of people studying it. :P Basic Info:http://future.uws.edu.au/future_students_home/ug/engineering_and_information_technology/construction_management Handbook Outline: http://handbook.uws.edu.au/hbook/course.aspx?course=2607.2...

    North Korea

They have farms... A lot of supplies are probably coming from China as well. Just because the US said no, doesn't mean private business isn't finding a way around their blocks. IIRC, food is rationed by the government anyhow, so if you were to purchase black market foods it would be rather...

    North Korea

As with past communist states there is corruption within the leadership. (And they're not a true communist state at that) The food supplies are taken by those in power and should be distributed to all the people as under the ideals of the communist/marxist system, and instead the officials take...

    B chiropractic science: Helpp

A bridging course is generally a short course undertaken before you commence a subject. Basically, it won't count towards you degree (in terms of credit points), but can be used to allow you to study subjects where you didn't learn the knowledge at school. This is an outline of the 2009 course...

    Stressed

I got a 75 atar. I cried for days because it was well below what anybody had expected from me, and I thought my life was over. My parents weren't disappointed (thought they knew I could have done better, they reminded me that you can't undo what has been done) and supported me into going to uni...

    North Korea

Most of the North Korean population does not have a choice about their leader and where they live. I don't agree with exterminate an entire nation, but I don't entirely disagree with the removal of the leaders that oppress them.

    North Korea

Mate, war in Korea has never been truly between Koreans. 1)Japan occupied Korea from the early 1900s until WW2. 2) The soviet union invaded Korea to take it from the Japanese during 1945. 3) The US steps in to defeat Japan anyway, and in a treaty with the Soviet Union, divided it on the 38th...

    Getting A Job

Check your resume- Everybody here is right in saying that people will instantly turn you down if they see tiny mistakes in grammar or spelling. Hand out a copy to your family and friends and ask them to check it for you. My mum always picks up on things everybody else missed. Little things like...

    North Korea

North Korea is angry because South Korea and the US have been doing military exercises near the border. Basically the US is sticking its thumb in everything and north Korea is being angry at everything, as usual. Personally, I think Australia shouldn't be involved in any further wars...

If you have provided you TFN, it will be automatically applied to your HECS. If you have not supplied a TFN, your enrolment is cancelled.

Commerce - Pro Accounting at Macquarie

It would not be harder because you went to Macquarie. As you said, if you go better than average and have extra ciriculars to make you seem like a more rounded person, you'd be more likely to succeed. At a graduate level, a degree which allows you to commence into a CA or CPa is what they want...

Commerce - Pro Accounting at Macquarie

Very true. The clarity of your resume, your ability to speak clearly and confidently in an interview, and then your ability to keep up that communication with co-workers, through reports etc, and dealing with clients are also essential.
  14. K

Commerce - Pro Accounting at Macquarie

See these are almost always down to things outside of the degree itself. Graduate salary is dependent on your experience and proof to deliver the skills, as opposed to the prestige of the uni you attended. I guess if you looked at employment prospects from the view of advertisement and active...

UTS USYD or UNSW best for Bachelor of Business?

Really interesting read, thanks. I always sort of wondered what the difference was between Commerce and Business. They still seem like interchangeable to me though :P Would be good if they listed how many sub-majors/minors were available to students as well. I know some unis have way more...

Commerce - Pro Accounting at Macquarie

Essentially, all accounting degrees will offer you the same foundations. What really differs them is how they specialise. For example, where you can study Taxation as a second major at UNSW, you can't at Macquarie. Other than those small things, the courses are very similar. If you look...

Should I do a master of commerce straight after my b.economics to get me a job?

I'm not sure it would be the best path. Okay there is less jobs on offer with an Econ degree, but a Masters in Commerce does essentially over qualify you for graduate positions. You might struggle to find work after too because your a tad over qualified for fresh graduate work, but (i assume)...

    Tutor name

I think we have the same tutor. He just never told us his name and yells all class :D Try asking him directly, asking on the discussion boards on vuws, and if really desperate call the uni and harass them until they give you details. Don't worry if you dont get it though, I've done...

    Thanks very much!

Has anybody here transferred to Macqaurie?

You will. Your GPA is calculated based on your grade for a unit, not whether your full or part time. I'm only a part time student (I've only ever done 2 subjects a semester) and my GPA is updated after each semester :) It doesn't affect your GPA whatsoever.
