    2014'ers Chit-Chat Thread

I went to 2 separate universities engineering work experience and they all raved about how architecture still needs math, which did turn me off. I'm for sure going to drop physics now since my experiment partner (the one I did on projectile motion) won't contact me/I can't contact her for the...

    Memorising/Copying Other Peoples Essays

My friend didn't read/watch/do anything with his related material for belonging. He relied on sheer tutoring and essay memorisation and got a band 6. How? I don't know. edit: he's doing adv/ext eng

I have no clue. Something to do with IT or business maybe? I wanted to do architecture or engineering but I really don't like math haha

Yeah, we didn't have the equipment to actually record the experiment so we could review it image by image as well, so that was difficult (especially when he refused to help last year). I'm not performing horribly, just enough that I gave up trying to improve in this subject. I'll try to drop it...

ugh 2 days in and we have a physics assessment. He expected us to create and perform a projectile motion experiment all by ourselves (i didn't do too well). That's too much right? I'm thinking about dropping that subject since the teacher's very hands off (note: incomprehensible) and I have 14...

When should I quit my job?

I've been working for a little over half a year and I've decided to call it quits. I haven't worked in a while because i'm baby sitting my little cousin and what not. I'm moving in 2 weeks which would increase my travel time by at least an hour (i have to take an infrequent bus to the nearest...

    The First Kiss

First kiss was with my ex. I was 15, he was 16. It was awkward. We both didn't know what we were doing so it happened at a park and an old man walked past us which made it 40 times more awkward.

What should I do in my free time?

I'm self-learning Japanese and reading yao- i mean manga in my spare time. Pretty neat stuff! Go learn some basic japanese and watching anime would be so much more fun! Also most of my time goes to watching/catching up with youtube videos, lol. I watch gaming vids so they go for quite some time...

    2014'ers Chit-Chat Thread

Just had my adv eng assessment task today. I don't understand the girls who can write 4 pages in <30 minutes. Ugh. Do you guys have any people in your class who are amazingly slow? This girl in my chemistry always gets below 20% and refuses to drop the subject...because she wants to drop...

Would it be wise to have a yr 12 formal in early/mid september?

Yo, anyone here feeling like doing a gap year after it all? I'm undecided. I want to go study overseas for a bit since the 3 month program i wanted starts in "early" november, which would probably screw me over for hsc. mediocre. too much homework and boring teacher. Great text though - I love...

    What are your strongest subjects?

I am the paradigm of the upper mediocre student. I need to start improving in my essay writing (i get marked down because I apparently have shitty grammar.). If I do so I'm confident i'd get into the top 10 for economics, english and my ancient hist classes. Worst subject is math. I'm just about...

    Roll Call: Class of 2014

Regreting subject choices :( Doing: 3U math Ext Eng Ancient Hist Chemistry Physics Economics I should have done Chem, Art, Japanese and Eco. I was late to apply for Open high school and I over estimated our physics department. Sigh. I think this line up would get me way better marks to be...

Where do you reckon is the best suburb to live in Sydney?

Beverly Hills. Restaurants everywhere and you're no more than 30-40 minutes from anywhere. The new train time table kind of screwed up, but meh. Maybe i'm just biased because I live in a convenient area. Nice and small and fairly quiet too.
