    Yr 12 is much better for me after trialling with prelims. I just started yr 12 so not the best person to discuss how the atar works but school definitely does make a difference to your atar - assessments, peers and teachers. There's heaps of sites online that explains how school affects your atar.

    Tbh in year 11.. it was one of my worst years... So no I didn't have a set timetable but I definitely recommend it. Make sure to make it flexible though cos some days won't go as planned :D good luck in year 11

    It's your choice if you want to start straight away. But I think you should wait until mid or end of term 1 to see which subjects you're struggling with.

    Your school should be providing you textbooks in school but sometimes they are overly detailed. Of course, buy textbooks if you feel the need to. Since the summer holidays are coming up I recommend studying bits and pieces of each subject while referring back to the syllabus. Just build some...

    How do I tell my dad I want to drop chem??

    I need some advice on how to approach the topic because my dad is strict and set on me continuing chem... Also, I have two major works (society and culture and visual arts) so I guess dropping chem would allow me more time to focus on that.
