    Possible transfer?

You should email the faculty that you are interested in. For USYD, the email recommended a distinction average and a GPA of at least 6 for a transfer into commerce.

Med or Combined Law more difficult to get into?

University A can see which preference and course you placed University A at. However University B cannot see the courses and ranking of University A on the preference sheet.

What do you hate about USyd

There are international students in every university, more so in popular universities like USYD and UNSW. So this doesn't quite belong in 'what i hate about usyd'. Honestly, I'm not sure why international students get so much crap. I'm not an international student myself nor am I asian, but I...

Exactly how useful is a single commerce degree?

A single commerce degree is very useful because you can do a double major-accounting/finance, accounting/management. As long as you do the mandatory CPA/CA accounting subjects, when you graduate you can train to get your CPA/CA. All degrees can give you a certain amount of wealth, but even if...

    Is University overrated these days?

Which university do you think produces these degree mills? And to the question, university is overrated for some. Generally it is the people who didn't go to university or dropped out who would say that. Sour grapes I would say.

    University of Newcastle

Best of luck in UNCLE. Though I'm sure the general consensus in BoS would be, you should have gone to UTS. If you dislike it, apply for transfers via UAC for USYD/UNSW/UTS at the end of the year. All the best hun :spin:

    Student ID cards

I don't have the student ID form we got in enrolment and I haven't taken my photo yet. I plan to go to the student centre when I arrive in Sydney next week. Is the student ID card used in any of the doors in the residential colleges?

    Timetable Assistance Please

Is there an option for getting two days off, instead of the standard one day?

    Makeup Routine

How often do you see a girl with eye makeup (eyeshadow, liner, mascara) in uni?

    Email not working?

WTF, where did that happen? Redfern station? Were they punching exclusively guys and girls or just guys? I haven't been to USYD yet but that's weird how they attacked you even though you were just walking

    so how did you rebel?

Started a World of Warcraft account. My parents got so mad and thought I was playing some demonic game; they saw a blood elf. Lol

    quick overloading question

Hmmm, I'm also thinking of doing 5 subjects (30cp). Has anyone tried doing 6 subjects (36cp) before? I won't be working but will be living in college (but I'm not much of a party-goer anyway)

    not buying textbooks

Don't be so cheap, just buy the textbook. If you buy it from textbookexchange, you may just pay $50 for a $110+ book. It's just not worthwhile fretting about petty money. If you really must save that $50, then borrow the book from another university (inter-university borrowing). That way no one...

    Semester 1 Timetables (2010)

Anyone doing Financial Accounting 2011 and Management Accounting 2012 together?

    Undergraduate Law @ ANU

In Adelaide University you can do straight law as well.

    Semester 1 Timetables (2010)

/whinge Why is there an option for 'one day off' and not 'two days off'.

    Accomodation Troubles!!

Yup as the above poster says, go to the accommodation office on high street. There are a few boards/walls where there is private homestay, rooms for rent or apartments for rent. It's something like the trading post. One handy tip is to take a digital camera, take photos of all the...

    LATEST you can transfer?

Depends what course and what university you wish to transfer to. At UNSW, only one year of completed studies is allowed for a law transfer. Whereas at USYD, second or third years can transfer. Best to look at the university handbook instead of us giving you wild guesses.

No credit exemption from completed degree

Hey there, I'm not sure about arts/science but with commerce, you can do a 'test' to see if your previous studies would be credited. This would have helped you before you chose which course (UNSW/USyd) to enroll in. Steps to follow for prospective undergraduate students The student emails...

Any transfer students got credit exemption from previous studies yet???

Hey Kane, it's really weird. When I sent my transcripts/units of studies to the economics department, the form stated it would take a maximum of 2 weeks. It's almost 3.5 weeks, and they said another 6 working days. OMG, bloody forever. I just hate how everyone would be making their timetables...
