For each religious tradition, the syllabus does not merely contain a few dot ponts- it is not merely the 2 colmns, "Students learn about" and "students learn to", with the respective dot points... its the document as a whole- that one small sentence at the start, which i am sure many people...

Yes, i also don't think section 3 should be discounted... because what f some students spent l0onger on that section, and can get the marks, at the expense of others in the exam?I guess, as has been said, everything will sort itself out in marking...

The questions did link with the syllabus- i think people are just upset that they did not provide questions which people can really 'prepare' for in the sense that past years have simply been the regurgitation of information, in question and answer form the syllabus... this required an...

An exam is supposed to test your knowledge, and ability to work under stress in time- quick recall of information... exams should remain, and i think, must remain timed... gives you parameters to work within... i don't think it limits your output, but aims to get your to give the most assurate...

I perosnally wouldn't advise it... you will wear yourself out... if anything maybe read over your ntoes lightly, but nothing to strenuous cause you may just freak out... need to stay calm before the exam

No- there are so many fail safe methods in place that it doesn't happen. First of all, the Markers work in Groups, each group being 'run' for want of a better word by a senior marker. the senior marker not only makes sure standards are applied in terms of marking, and making sure markers...

So- HSC Advice Line opens for some subjects tomorrow, and will do for others over the next 4 weeks or so. Does any one plan to use it? I am sure it is helpful, but how have past students found it? And are there any time periods where you don't bother calling (peak times)?

I think the risks are too great to use it for the HSC. I think it would have been better to use in the trials, so you could have guaged how the markers react and what not... the HSC markers may find it original and very clever, and if you analyse it well, it can work... but at the same time...

I think what most people seem to forget, is that... if they do specify a poem/essay/speech, (which is unlikely, but possible) there is a chance that the one they specify is the one you choose to write about. If your course requires a study of 6 poems, and you plan to write about 3, there is...

I'm pretty sure that is the longest- because Business is on the first day, and i'm pretty sure textiles is on the last. if you want to get technical, it would be the longest if textiles were an afternoon exam on the last day, opposed to a morning exam... but whats a few hours when the exams go...

Question 5a from the 2008 hsc is giving me a bit of difficulty: the hardest part being: fidn the inverse for the function: f(x) = x - 1/2 x/\2 Also- for this subject, what is the raw mark needed to achieve a band E4?

someone should start a group or something, with a rhyme, ie: " Pray for no more than 1 exam a day" group... OR "Say Nay to 2 exams per day" lol

HSC Exam Timetable Not to repeat a cliche, But the HSC Exam Timetable is released next Friday, the 1st of May. What are your thoughts, hopes, aspirations? etc... and those which may be crushed next Friday?
