I'm pretty sure that a lot of selective schools offer the most places for year 10 going into year 11. For e.g, I know that Sydney boys offers 30 more places, and have 210 boys in year 11.

I do prefer most of the old teachers, but some of the older teachers at my school can be just a tad boring, especially History and Geography. The younger teachers, well, I find that I get along with them better as they more friendly, can take the occasional joke and seem to relate to us better...

I'd like to know the answer to that too, like do they give preference to people with the biology knowledge? I mean after all that Umat tests, do they still look at the courses you do? If no one knows the answer to that, I'll just ask at the USYD year 10 info night.

Bankstown doesn't really offer that many choices in terms of high schools. If you are willing, take a look at some of the private schools in the Strathfield area.

Yea, That's what I thought too Its just that my mum's friend seems to know what she is talking about. Her son got a 99.9 UAI and her daughter in year 10 is... I guess.. Very smart.

My mum heard from a friend that some of your marks in your SC go towards your HSC mark. Something like if you do well in history in SC, you get extra marks in years 11 and 12. Is this true? I thought that marks in SC didn't affect years 11 and 12.. and I'm just wondering where that friend...
