Is B.Pharm a good place to start if I want to find cures for diseases?

Re: I havent done any sciences, Should I still do b.pharmacy. Honestly, I would probably recommend against it. It seems like you're interested in the idea of it I guess, like helping people, instead of the nitty gritty, like enjoying chemistry etc. Also, not only will you probably struggle with...

Two question about my ARTS3403 degree:

Yeah, I was wondering about that too, since I wanted to take philosophy as my gened, but choices were really limited, even though I still managed to enrol in chinese philosophy

Thanks for the advice. Do you happen to know if you can take 12uoc of gened from the same faculty? I assumed this was the case but my friend said otherwise.

    COMP1911 for absolute beginners

I was entertaining the notion of doing comp1911 as a gened. But is it reasonable for a person who has no computer/programming experience or knowledge to do very well in this course?

    Advice: Double Or Single degree

Like you said, doing a double degree will open up your options, give you more career pathways and it allows you to study in more than one field that interests you. From what I've heard from my friends that do double degrees, the amount of work you do is the exact same as what you would do in a...

Will I struggle with B.pharmacy with "NO" HSC sciences AT ALL?????

You can do bridging courses which will get you up to date with assumed knowledge, so you can do it if you really want. But if you don't do it and haven't done any science in year 11 and 12 then I would think you would really struggle. It has chemistry as assumed knowledge so things that they...

    HELP Why UNSW?

Have you checked out the UNSW handbook? http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2013/3991.html It pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the course.

Medical Sci vs Advanced Sci at UNSW

I may be biased but good choice haha. You're welcome!

    Medical Science VS Advanced Science

Yeah I'm not planning on doing medicine or the GAMSAT. After my degree, ideally I would like to something postgrad, preferably a PhD, if my honours is good enough.

Medical Sci vs Advanced Sci at UNSW

In terms of majors, there isn't any difference between the degrees as you pointed out. However, advanced science is a lot more flexible, you declare your major after first year, whereas in med science your first two years are already determined for you pretty much and you don't major until third...

    Medical Science VS Advanced Science

Yeah I go to pretty much all the lectures. Umm I'm kinda tall, long brown hair, probably most easily recognised by my black ray ban prescription glasses. Oh wow, I didn't know there were that many. Who else is there?

    Medical Science VS Advanced Science

If you really love human biology then it doesn't matter, since the majors you'll be interested in are available in both degrees. However if you're not, or you're unsure, I'd say go advanced science just in case because you can choose from pretty much any science.
