yeah probably, 19/20 is good enough.

    Multiple Choice

i dont think so, it can be the element itself as well, in fact i dont think its correct in saying the compound is being reduced as it is strictly the chromium ion that is being reduced.

    Multiple Choice

i got the exact same but im pretty sure that 13 is b. cr had a charge of +6 and went to +3 therefore is an oxidizing agent?, well atleast the naswer is between b and d.

    Chemistry Marathon (HSC)

    0.02*0.08-0.03*0.05=0.0001 c=0.0001/0.05=0.002 ph=-log(0.002)=2.7

    CSSA MX2 Trial

i understand that it couldhave been done quite easily but it seems quite hard to do it using explanations etc, however probability is perhaps my weakest point anyways.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

pretty hard for a multiple choice question where you have no mark allocation to determine the difficulty of the question.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

did you just count it or can you show working?.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

idk but 10 wasn't an answer. i think there was 9,12,21 and 30.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

can someone answer that probability question i posted earlier. in how many ways can you arrange 5 letters chosen from the word ARRANGE.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

this was the multiple choice question people are talking about. it said in how many ways can 5 letters be chosen from the word ARRANGE. what is the answer?.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

the sigma notation thing seemed to be much messier than the expression in this document but. also the reduction formula was one of the harder ones i have seen.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

i don't think anyone would remember it since it was a pretty large sum expressions.
  13. M

    CSSA MX2 Trial

no thats not what i did. i solved the equation simultaniously with y=c and then found the two solutions subtracted them from each other to find the length of the side and then equated it with c. however not too sure tbh.

    CSSA MX2 Trial

the one about find the coordinates of c was also quite difficult, not sure if i got it correct.

    inequality question

yeah i understand now. thanks to all who helped.
  16. M

    inequality question

thanks for that makes sense. however in your last line of working did u just assume that they were the same expressions by subbing into the calculator or did you somehow prove it.
  17. M

    inequality question

    i) show that for x>0, x>Ln(1+x) ii) hence show that e^(nc2)>n factorial, btw (nc2 is n choose 2) for n=all positive integers. i already got the first part, i simply tested x=1, and showed that it was an increasing function. im pretty sure part ii is wrong since n would have a minimum value of...

I Suck at a SHM and need help

well using this formula v^2=n^2(A^2-x^2), do i have to prove this as well?. firstly we know due to the definition of simple harmonic that acceleration=0 at the center, then -9x=0, therefore x=0. subbing in x=0 into the equation we get the required result. we also know that since acceleration is...

I Suck at a SHM and need help

allot of unnecessary working out. we know that maximum velocity is achieved at the center when acceleration=0. therefore using the formula v max=nA 2=3*A, therefore a=2/3. as mentioned before max velocity is going to be 2. if you want me to prove the formula i used i can.

    mechanics question

i cant thank you enough you just clarified allot. im guessing the tug to the right is a result of the tension from the pole?.
