Re: Alternative pathways to your desired university degree I'd highly recommend the TAFE to uni route. I got into usyd this way.

Quite lame how USYD doesn't let you decide on your own lec/tut times. My friends at UWS seem to be able to.

so yeah, i'm actually preparing for a bridging course at the moment and the assumed knowledge is year 10 maths. can any students studying year 10 maths (advanced) tell me if functions are taught in year 10 advanced maths? if so, to what degree? thanks ! :D

It's definitely possible to transfer to usyd from tafe. I did, but I'm not sure about vet sci/animal studies (I though it was quite odd when I saw people bringing dogs to tafe! lol now I know why..) Get in touch with usyd and ask them if the tafe course you're planning to study will enable...

CEEBS getting on another bus at central so I chose usyd.

i hail from an affluent town known by its abundance of banks. bankstown.

I had to make the same decision.. I chose usyd because I visited macquarie and found it pretty exhausting. Total journey (two-way) took well over 3 hours and I had to get off trains 3 times. Macquarie's campus did seem very beautiful though. The library looked looked very impressive.

it really depends on the uni. I can't really say for IT, but my friend finished a cert 3 in accounting and was able to receive an offer from uws parra B.Bus. other unis require a higher level of certification, e.g. macquarie requires at least a cert 4, and UTS/UNSW/USYD require diploma to...
