I've had a suprise prac for physics and chem, dw to much practicals I find are generally the easiest just know validity, reliabilty, etc. Also try and look through a textbook that has all the syllabus required first hand investigations as it may be one of those. Good luck!

I did the working and got the same answer as you, I also tried a different method and still got the same answer. I think you're right the book must be mistaken.
