    Methods of Proving Trigonometric Identities

By LHS-RHS=0 you've proven LHS = RHS. The words "Show this" and "Prove this" are basically the same thing.

    slicing method

annulus = gap in between. If no gap (obvious after drawing or recognising) then no annulus, if gap then annulus. If it's really that difficult for you, just use the annulus way (R^2 - r^2) and the small radius (r) should be 0 if it's not an annulus (as it will be constant1 - constant1). Hope...

Pros and cons of enrolling into a selective school for Year 12

Yes. The preliminary chemistry course is a "prerequisite" for the HSC chemistry course. That's why a lot of international students who come to Australia have to start in year 11 (when they might be year 12 age/level). Edit: As with any other HSC course.

Pros and cons of enrolling into a selective school for Year 12

Btw, you can't pickup new subjects for year 12. You can only continue or drop the subjects you chose in year 11, so if you moved schools you can't pick up chemistry.

Pros and cons of enrolling into a selective school for Year 12

ROFL, it's pretty funny how you believe going to any selective school will be better off for you. Just do well in your subjects and you'll get into the course you want at the uni you want. Too many people thinking HSC is LIFE. Stick at your current school. Anyhow, James Ruse does not accept...

    Should I get a netbook?!

I just bought a new netbook for note making and to not have to print vast amounts of past papers etc (and to take with me wherever I go). The person who said running win7 on an atom with 2gb ram is unusable (when being used to a high end desktop), I disagree. I'm currently running an atom N550...

Has anyone done the ACER exam for year 10 to year 11?

The acer tests aren't that difficult. They use them at my school for scholarship testing (iirc), I did well in everything except english (but that's given since I'm p.bad at english). To do well all you need to do is to remain calm. ezpz :)

need help with 2 3unit questions from my topic test

    1. 3/x > -5 (therefore x cannot = 0) 3x > -5x^2 (multiply by x^2 as for x could be positive or negative, therefore we multiply by a positive number so we don't have to change to sign around). 5x^2 - 3x > 0 (bring to one side) x(5x + 3) >0 (factorise) x > 0 and x < -3/5 And as for 2: Sorry I...

    Surd question

    Never mind, I got it! hahaha. let 5^1/3 = a and let 2 = b Cubic identity: a^3 + b^3 = (a+b)(a^2+ab+b^2) 1/(a+b) . (a^2+ab+b^2)/(a^2+ab+b^2) = (a^2+ab+b^2)/a^3 + b^3 Sub in and voila. Thanks anyway I spose. :)
