Tony Abbott breaks election promise BEFORE election

Tony Abbott It is a wonder this man even made it to Parliament in the first place.

The Future of the American Economy

Yeah except for China's disgusting "we're big and powerful and we're gonna boss you around" attitude. See: *(Almost) single-handedly buggering up the Copenhagen conference *Stern Hu *Google et al. * + more that I can't be bothered to think of right now

The Future of the American Economy

I agree with moll on this one. Worst of all, not only is the economy fucked, but also the political system as well, and not just in terms of lobbyists. The ability for the senate to cripple legislation via the filibuster is holding up the entire political process as Republicans attempt to...

    2010 State Election

One who sees themselves above the unpaid rabble of local government but who does not have the acumen or raw political talent to succeed where it counts - in Canberra.

    2010 State Election

I wouldn't consider myself a liberal supporter but seriously, labor has been in power for way too long and seem to have lost touch with the electorate to an alarming degree, not to mention that every public project they touch seems to wilt and die. So I'm going to vote liberal. Better yet, why...

    Quick case note question

Hey folks, Just wondering when exactly it is necessary to write up case notes? Is it necessary for every case you encounter in your reading, or just for the ones you think you need to write a case note for, or simply the ones that your lecturer/tutor suggests require case notes? Cheers

Why Nazi-like enforcement of speed limits is stupid.

Drive to the road conditions and all will be well.

    World State

That's the real problem. Governments could not be relied upon to support it because they have too much stake in keeping their affairs to themselves. The only institution I can see that has the money to fund such a venture and keep it removed from governmental bias is the corporate sector. But...

    World State

No, it does not. Sovereign crime goes almost unpunished in the world today. Anyone who is brought before an international court is going to be some rogue spaz like Slobodan Milosevic, and even then they will probably get a show trial. The reason that no forward progress has been made in this...

    World State

Instead of a world government, we need a beefed-up ICJ/ICC/World Court with much bigger and sharper teeth.

Multicultural or Monocultural: Which is better?

Rubbish. White Australia policy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia There's been plenty of debate surrounding this issue.

Multicultural or Monocultural: Which is better?

Not that great really. Besides, if you're a gaijin, you're fucked. Foreigners can be deported if a neighbour 'feels anxious' about their presence, not to mention the fact that all the crime gets blamed on them. It's unfair, needlessly discriminatory and shouldn't be repeated here.

Multicultural or Monocultural: Which is better?

Pretty bloody obvious which one. Stupid thread imo.
