In my opinion, one should treat Year 11 just as seriously as Year 12. Yes, it doesn't count for anything, but it's the skills that you learn that are important. You don't want to end up in Year 12 feeling like "Oh, damn, this is going towards my ATAR."

I am going to give it a go, don't care what anyone else thinks. One of my friends in Intermediate wanted to do MX1 and her friends thought she was crazy, and I told her "Just give it a go."

I think Mathematics should be fine. My maths tutor got 96/100 raw mark for Maths Extension 2 and says that Mathematics will be a lot of work for me. I had different people telling me different things, so in the end I chose what I think was best for me.

My school recommended everything in the intermediate class to do General, so did my tutor. My cousin said I should "at least" Mathematics Extension 1, and my parents recommended Mathematics. I chose Mathematics.

That's good. Our school gave us options to change our subjects, I replaced with English Standard with English Ext 1 (really stupid, I know but I'll tell you why if you want to know), and Physics with Economics.
