    Accelerated maths anyone?

hey im in yr 10 and i do accelerated as well could anyone predict what my final mark will be if i got about 91% for the internal mark and if i get about a 95% for the hsc also what do u guys think is is the minimum mark to keep

    Help With Volumes

ok, but can i ask why? How come u just cant do the integral and not suntract; what makes this cas different frmt he others

    Help With Volumes

OK... if u insist... i dnt think we are thinkn g of the same thing... wat about: find the volme of revoluron when the the area between the curve y = x^2 and x = 0 and x = 4 is rotated around the x axis

    Help With Volumes

thats wat i thoguht as well but its not... by doing that were finding the volume of the curve between the x axis rotated around the y-axis; i know this sounds weird but im 100% sure that you have to minus that volume from the cylinder from x = -4 to x = 4 with height 2
  6. 5

    Help With Volumes

no, the area between the curve and the y axis between y = 2 and y=4

    Help With Volumes

it was in one of the JRAHS papers... i think it read: the area between the curve y = sqrt x between y = 2 and y = 0 is rotated about the y axis; find the volume of revolution

    Help With Volumes

Re: 回复: Help With Volumes I know... its a curved cone looking thing but in order to get this u have to do the volume of the cylinder from x = 4 to x = -4 - the integral i wrote; i dont know y... but im 100% sure thats the way u do it

    Help With Volumes

Im very confused: why is it that when u find the volume when the curve y = sqrt x is rotated between x = 0 and x = 4 around the y-axis you have to do: volume of cylinder with radius 4 and height 2 - S(from y=2 to y=0)of y^4 dy; How come u cant just do S(from y=2 to y=0)of y^4 dy

    cant find them

Does anyone know were i can find the student writing answers for the eng sc; the ones where they show you what a band 1 answer is a band 2...... a band 6

Can someone provide some motion questions

so... does anyone have any q's

Can someone provide some motion questions

ye kind of but more so the visual ones i.e. with the graphs provided and less calculations, more interpreting; thanks anyway

Can someone provide some motion questions

hey, one area which i think isnt covered well in my textbooks are the motion graphs (the ones where u have to find certain things with the graph provided such as when the particle is furthes away from the origin, when it returns back to origin etc). Im talking about the ones similar to the HSC...

    Maths Challenge!

wiht ur second answer how come |3x + 4y -7| = -3x -4y + 1 (im talking about the -7 changing to 1)? and also with the absolute values why did you do both negative and positive for the RHS and not the left (|4x - 3y + 2|)?

    Max/Min question help

The cost of running a car at an average speed of v km/h is given by c = 150 + v^2/80 cents per hour. Find the average speed, to the nearest km/, at which the cost of a 500km trip is a minimum. Answer: 110km/h I just cant seem to do this q for some weird reason.

    Series and Sequences

nice work.... the answer should be 26.8.... u divided by 1 zero too much

    integration - area question

I dont think so.... 2/3 units squared is the area on the right side of the axis, u have to multiply it by 2 to get the complete answer... i think the correct answer is 1/1/3 units squared

    Now what: further Q's

This is the stufff... thanks alot
