    Physics marathon (hsc)

haha damn, I guess the complexity of the working will depend on the mark allocations but yeah you're right btw after checking Keelan134's work, final answer should be 6.52 x 10^8 J, which is pretty close to my answer hahaha
  2. L

    Physics marathon (hsc)

    Easy, W = Fd = (200*9.8)*350000 = 6.86 x 10^8 J Discuss Einstein's and Planck's differing views o scientific research and its place in society and politics. (4 marks)

    Atar Estimate please

Probably 85+ but depends strongly on your externals

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Haha not trolling but pretty much the only ones im not 100% sure about are Q11f)ii),Q12d)i), Q14b)iii), and Q14ci), which is around 7 marks including the one I just lost from MC
  6. L

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Damn, just realized that I didn't take into account the bottom part... pooooo so yeah its C still sitting on around 63/70
  7. L

    Section I - Multiple Choice

nahh because when you group the C and L together you end up with 6 groups i.e. O, Y, M, P, I, CL and that^ can be arranged 6! ways but the C and L can be arranged within each other 2 ways so its D, 2 x 6!
  8. L

    Section I - Multiple Choice

No, I said IF it was C then it would be 6pi and be restricted to 3pi, but its restricted to 3pi/2 so it ends up being D
  9. L

    Section I - Multiple Choice

4: If its C then the amplitude is indeed 2 but the period is 6pi, meaning it would be restricted to 3pi, not 3pi/2 5: Group the C and L together so theres 6! ways of arranging those letters but the C and L can move in between each other 2 ways, hence 2 x 6!, so D
  10. L

    Section I - Multiple Choice

    C a b d d a c d d b

    General Thoughts: Engineering Studies

For the bus question how did everybody do it? I equated the work done to the kinetic energy, i.e. Fd = 0.5mv^2 and I got a reasonable answer of 15 km/h or something...not anywhere near 300's haha
